Adding value to property assets requires experience and expertise. Value may be obtained by sale, conversion or through change of use, and the key to achieving these gains is successful planning. JHWalter Planning & Development Services brings together planning, design and agency expertise to provide our clients with the opportunity to maximise potential.
Established for over 200 years and operating across the East Midlands, JHWalter has been involved in planning and development opportunities for a wide range of residential, commercial and agricultural uses including dealing with agricultural ties. Our personal and practical approach is based on a sound knowledge of national and local planning policy coupled with a keen commercial awareness. We believe in early consultation with local planning officers, and other relevant agencies, which can give a steer as to how to approach the application. Where appropriate, strategic long-term planning advice will be given. In addition, knowledge of comparable applications and appeal decisions, both locally and nationally, provides the basis for a robust application.
Our planning department has been able to help many clients, throughout the East Midlands, to secure the valuable planning permission, which allows richer rewards to be reaped. Where properties are subsequently sold, the agency team has maximised returns by way of sale by private treaty, tender and the County Property Auction.
The following are successful planning applications.
-
Owmby by Spital, Nr Market Rasen ¦ West Lindsey District Council
Good design, detailed justification and negotiation achieved planning permission to convert a small stone barn in open countryside to residential live work unit.
-
Claypole, Nr Newark ¦ South Kesteven District Council
Planning permission was obtained to relocate and rebuild the derelict cottage in open countryside to a large, modern, 4 bedroom house with double garage.
-
Thorpe on the Hill nr Lincoln ¦ North Kesteven District Council
We identified the potential and obtained planning consent to convert the extensive former equestrian buildings at Thorpe Grange Farm to create the Lincoln Enterprise Park. This scheme will create around 40,000 sq ft of business space close to the city of Lincoln with excellent access on to the Lincoln to Newark A46 dual carriageway.
-
Letwell nr Worksop ¦ Rushcliffe Borough Council
Careful negotiation with the local authority, conservation officer and English Heritage secured consent for 5 dwellings. A sympathetic quality design was the key to converting these classic Palladian Grade II star listed stables.
-
Wilsford nr Sleaford ¦ North Kesteven District Council
A delightful 12 acre site with a rather plain farmhouse has been transformed into a fantastic development opportunity. We have obtained consent to substantially extend and re-model the house to create a 5,000 sq ft Georgian style country house.
