Funding & Grant Aid

There are a plethora of grants and funding bodies seeking to support business enterprise. The problem is establishing exactly what is on offer and how it can be obtained. Much of the funding is government based and a certain amount of "hoop jumping" is required. JHWalter business advisers have significant experience in matching business needs with potential funders, and assisting in the application process to secure this funding.
Established for over 200 years and operating across the East Midlands, JHWalter has long been involved in helping businesses to tap into funding for capital works, new enterprises, business development and training. Our personal and practical approach is based on a sound knowledge of schemes handled by EMDA, the DTI, DEFRA as well as other national and local government organisations. Many of these grants are now based on competitive bids, and, once again, experience and expertise is required to ensure that bids score highly and supporting business plans are well structured.
Using sound commercial awareness with grant-scheme knowledge, our advisers have helped businesses to develop and expand with the benefit of grants ranging from just a few thousand to many hundreds of thousand.
Emda have just confirmed some exciting new changes to the Rural Development Programme!
Until now, total grant has generally been limited to the lower of €200,000 or 50% of the project spend. Now applications can be made for up to €500,000 (approx £450,000).
In addition, the 50% limit is to be relaxed for farm diversification projects which create new income streams and can justify the increased funding.
This is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of this additional assistance, but these changes may be time limited, and so immediate action is advisable.
JHWalter have already helped clients secure a substantial share of grant funding from the ERDP and RDPE for a wide range of projects.
